In 2016, the Environment Festival was renamed Environment Fest, combining films, activities and a market showcasing ecology and biodiversity.

Since 2000, Brussels Environment has staged the Environment Festival, renamed Environment Fest in 2016. That year marked a new direction with BEL Movie Day presenting films on ecology, and a celebratory day combining activities, music, circus acts and a market focused on biodiversity and renewable energy.
This exciting but engaged event encourages visitors to do their part to protect the environment without falling into climate alarmism. It illustrates Brussels’s ambition to educate the public on ecological challenges in a positive and accessible way.
